Eyeplan have announced they will
be launching a new eye care scheme at Independents Day on the 2nd July 2009.
The new scheme, called Eyeplan Complete, has been created to help independent
practices combat the credit crunch and attract a new audience to their
practice’s eye care schemes. Eyeplan Complete combines both eye care and eye
wear into a single monthly payment and also includes the Eyeplan Accidental
Damage Cover for spectacles. The scheme operates in a similar way to a mobile
phone contract; members’ eye care is all included and they return every 12
months to select a new pair of spectacles.
For patients this means quality eye wear is more accessible, in fact, the scheme
is specifically designed to encourage patients to have the very best in eye
wear. As with other Eyeplan schemes, members purchase quality eye wear
comfortable in the knowledge that it is protected against accidental damage.
The scheme was piloted in Eyeplan’s sister practices before being introduced to
existing Associates earlier this year. Given the success of the scheme so far,
Eyeplan has decided to launch it to all independent practices wishing to adopt
the Eyeplan Business Model.
Chris Clemence, Eyeplan’s Commercial Director, commented “There is no doubt that
the pressure on independent practices is increasing. We believe we have created
in Eyeplan Complete, a means for practices to encourage patients to continue to
purchase the very best in eye wear, and be rewarded for the eye care they
provide. Eyeplan Complete combines the accessibility of monthly payments,
protection against accidental damage and eye care in one, easy to administer,
loyalty scheme.”
This year the theme of Independents Day is ‘Driving Retail Sales’ and it
therefore entirely appropriate that Eyeplan will be launching Eyeplan Complete
under this banner.
Independents Day takes place at the National Motorcycle Museum on 2nd July
2009.
