  • Eyeplan Ltd to launch Schoolvision scheme at Sportfair11

Specialist clinical service to improve loyalty and dispense rates

    13th May 2011

Eyeplan Ltd, the leading provider of monthly payment eye care schemes in the UK, is set to launch its new Schoolvision scheme at this year’s Sportfair on 23rd May in Leicester.  Schoolvision will join Eyeplan’s range of direct debit schemes, and will be offered to young patients with vision-associated reading difficulties.

Schoolvision is the study of the relationship between visual performance and the occupation of reading, and seeks to stabilise the dominant eye with corrective spectacles.  In exchange for a small monthly fee, Eyeplan Associates with the Schoolvision diploma will be able to offer patients both specialist care and reduced prices on prescribed spectacles.

“Offering Schoolvision assessments and continuing care can be a great differentiator for independent practices and really encourages patient loyalty.  Providing the service via Eyeplan’s managed fee collection service will enable practices to maximize this loyalty,” said Geraint Griffiths, Director of SVUK Ltd.

“Eyeplan believes that it is very important for independent practitioners to develop their clinical services; this has a direct positive impact on both patient commitment and dispense rates,” said Chris Clemence, Commercial Director at Eyeplan Ltd.  “Schoolvision is an important addition to our range of eye care schemes; not only can we offer practices a comprehensive fee collection service, but we can also supplement this with marketing assistance to raise local awareness of the specialist service.”

At Sportfair11, delegates will learn more about the technical skills required to implement both Schoolvision and Sportvision, plus their commercial potential.  More information on Eyeplan and Schoolvision is available at www.eyeplanassociates.co.uk and www.schoolvision.org.uk.
